Subj:   Teradata Manager Upgrade 6.1 to 7.0

This forum has been very helpful to me and I am here again to seek more help.

I upgraded the Teradata Manager from 6.1 to 7.0 but we continue to run in 6.1 because I can get version 7 to connect to the server.

The server runs in my NT Windows workstation, along with the server for TDQM. (I know, we should get a dedicated machine, but that so far has been a hard sell). When I try to connect to the server I get the message "can not connect to host" and then will ask me to connect directly to the RDBMS, which I do not allow anyone to do.

I noticed the service in my Windows NT workstation continues to run under the folder for version 6.1.

     C:\Program Files\NCR\Teradata Manager 6.1\bin\isservice.exe

Shouldn't the service now be running under a new service found in the 7.0 folder?

Any tips or techniques helping me move to Teradata Manager 7.0 would be appreciated.

I don't get to install the software and the person that does knows little about it other than the usual process of installing apps in Windows workstations.

I started an incident on this and have not seen any response, but this forum is 2 for 2 when I ask questions for which I have an open incident:

- Transitive Property of Equality

- USI's kiss of death on bulk maintenance
