Bill,

Make sure TeradGSS component was installed along with CLIv2 and VLIv2so This is the software that handle the encryption of passwords and/or all traffic.

Run pkginfo -x and make sure proper versions of software are installed. All versions of software should be form the same Teradata Tools and Utilities (TTU) version.

Make sure GSS components were installed if TTU 7.1 or greater.
