Subj:   Re: SQL Assistant 7.0 with ODBC 3.04

From:   Al MacGowan

I'm sorry I don't have a definite answer, but I did find that when submitting a create/replace view via SQL Assistant, with a comment inside, the comment doesn't appear to be registered with the db. If you submit that same create/replace statement with BTEQ, and do a show view with *EITHER* BTEQ or SQL Assistant, that the comment STAYS.

I'm not saying BTEQ is your answer and you shouldn't use SQL Assistant, but it definitely seems to work. Perhaps SQL Assistant is being "helpful" and stripping off your comments before submitting to the db?
