Subj:   BTEQ-LIMIT and Oracle ROWNUM

From:   Aananth.S

Hello All,

In Oracle, we have a rownum (psudo column) that can limit the number of rows being returned from the DB srvr. Is there a equvalent in TD? From what i understand, the BTEQ LIMIT keyword gets all the rows from the Srvr and displays only the LIMITED rows. What Iam exactly interested in is the performance implications of something like ROWNUM. we have used it extensively in places where EXISTS like conditions have to be used in Oracle. Pls comment!

Thanks

Aananth
