Subj:   Re: Monitoring Priority Scheduler using Heart-beat queries in every Performance Group

From:   Diehl, Robert

All,

Carrie's explanation for canary query usage is very good. Teradata Manager 7.0 (part of TTU 8.0) allows you to put in the logon information for each Heartbeat Query including Account string. You get to it from menu Administer...Alert Policies. If you upgrade to Teradata Manager 7.0, you also have to upgrade any client PMON to version 7.0.0 that get data from the server. Having said that I have never used the logon information for Canary Queries, so can't say if it works.

Thanks,

Bob Diehl
