I guess the question is how to abort a rollback/recovery session?

A recovery session show up in PMON as abort status.

Only V2R5.1 or higher has this ability. It is part of rcvmanager. Check the UTILITY REFERENCE Manual for the details. Basically, use list rollback tables; to see the table in question and capture the table id then use cancel rollback on table <table id found in list rollback tables>; to abort the recovery session.

Beware that once the rollback table had been aborted the table can only be drop or delete. If the data in the table need to be capture, it need to be capture before the job aborted.
