Subj:   Re: Environment Variables: Teradata-to-DB2 II

From:   Dennis Calkins

In order to connect Teradata to db2 II (Information integrator) we need to set two environment variables

  1. coperr

  2. cpolib

How can I know the values of these two variables and where can I find them (PATH).

Hi,

What version of CLI are you using? I thought the client people had done away with these variables. They used to be required when you could have more than one version of CLI set up on the box. ( or internally were testing with a version not installed in the prefered location).

Maybe they are still required for Mainfram Utilities?

COPERR points to the Error messages file for CLI.

On my solaris box they are in

     /usr/lib/errmsg.txt

COPLIB point to the CLI library. Again on Solaris it is.

     /usr/lib/libcliv2.so
