Subj:   Re: CLI error 126: Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error

From:   Duell, Bob

I had the exact same thing happen to me a few weeks ago! The kicker was when Fred saw the error message about terasso.

In my case, I tried to install the new 3.4 ODBC driver, but I was still using TTU 7.1. The new ODBC driver doesn't work by itself (as the old one did), and requires support files from TTU 8.0.

To correct, as Mike suggests:

1. Uninstall the OBDB driver.

2. Reboot!

3. Look through your Windows "system32" folder and delete the file "terasso.ddl" if it exists. There is a "bug" with the "uninstall" wizard for the 3.04 Teradata ODBC driver.

4. Reinstall the ODBC driver.

I would try to install the 3.03 driver and see if that works.

Many thanks to Teradata support for helping me fix this problem (a totally self-inflicted wound)!
