I saw the post asking about the definitions and values of ResUsageSvpr - msgworkqlenmax & msgworkqlensum. I agree, the text of the Resource Usage manual is a bit confusing.

The followig clarification comes from the Teradata engineer in charge of this feature:

"It is not a bug. The MsgWorkQLenSum sums the current counts captured at the end of each collect period. Since the current count can be zero when the data is collected, the sum can be 0. The max count, on the other hand, tracks the maximum value over the log period and therefore it can be non-zero even though the sum count is 0."


We will clarify the MsgWorkQLenSum description on the next document update.
