Subj:   Migrating to a Unicode compliant database

From:   David Clough

We're involved in creating operational systems that must be Unicode compliant. So far we've looked at the implications upon our Oracle and DB2 databases, but eventually this data will find its way into our Teradata database.

Has anyone got suggestions or comments in terms of how to migrate to a Teradata Unicode compliant database?

I suspect we'll probably need to support data in both Unicode and non-Unicode data in the short-term.

I will be doing quite a bit of 'RTFM', but comments based upon experience or extensive Teradata Unicode knowledge would be most gratefully received.
