Subj:   Re: Moving object between systems by using Teradata Administrator(WINDDI)

From:   Dempsey, Mike

In Teradata Administrator the Connect button (or menu) is still available after you connect to your Production system. Simply click it again in order to connect to your Dev system.

You will then be able to either switch between the 2 systems main windows or tile them both. (If you tile them you can copy objects by dragging them from one window to the other.)

The maximum number of systems you can connect to is 5 ... although I would not recommend using more than 2 in general.

You can also open additional windows (Called 'Database Lists' in the menus) to the same system. This is useful if you want to reduce the amount of data in each window by specifying a 'lower level' root database instead of just specifying 'dbc'. (or limiting what is loaded through the options screen.)

The total number of windows you can open - whether to different systems or to the same system - is 5.
