I'm afraid you cant turn that off.

It was added to be more like some programming environments (eg. Visual Basic) which help you to line things up with the indentation of the line above.

It kind of goes hand in hand with the query formatting option.

If you want to indent (or unindent) a line, or block of lines, you can highlight them (or any part of them) and press Tab. (or Shift-Tab to un- indent) This idea was also copied from VB.

I guess I could add an option to make this an 'optional' feature ... but no one had mentioned it as a problem before.
