Looking at your latest description of your problem, I would still suggest you to go for a outmod. You must be knowing that an outmod acts as a separate module which plugs in front of the fastexport and you can handle whatever data manipulation you want to do. The outmod is a routine written in C language so is very powerful you can do all kind of wonders using this utility, specially when it comes to data manipulation.

As far as the use of BTEQ is concerned I would strongly recommend not to even think of it since your data volumes are too large.
