Hi,
You receive this file from a 3rd party vendor? What as a .CSV file or do they actually send you a Teradata Archive or Binary file?
Is there a requirement that the format of the file from the third party vendor matches the Underlying Teradata table definition.
Why can't you take the file and translate it during the load process into something a little more manageable inside the database.
Just a thought?
