Subj:   Ampusage CPU Skew vs Diskspace Spool skew

From:   Bach, Michael

We've recently taken over support of the DBA function from another area - one method they were using to identify skewing queries was to compare the Max(Peakspool) for a given user for a given day to the Min(Peakspool) for the user for that day taken from DBC.Diskspace (ClearPeakDisk macro is run each night)

We also use Max(CPUTime) / Avg(CPUTime) from Ampusage to give a CPU skew figure. Can anybody explain why a user who only submitted one piece of code during the day might skew massively on one Amp (factor of 50) according to DBC.Diskspace but yet does appear on the second report as a skewing user when looking at CPU max vs avg ?

Many thanks in advance,
