Subj:   Releasing Internal Locks

From:   Hoglund, Kath

We have a user locked out (neither the user nor the administrator can change the password).

The blocked session and its lock shows in TeraData Manager/Sessions Information. The locking user is 'Internal Session'. The Host ID = 0 (this is neither our LAN nor CHANNEL connection Host ID). A personal table created in the user's default database has a read lock by the internal session.

There are no Host Utility locks showing in Teradata Manager /Remote Council/ Show locks.

There does not appear to be any unusual activity, such as a rollback, displayed in Teradata Manager/Remote Council/ Query Session.

What are we missing? Is there another place to look for locks? How do we release this lock?
