As far as I can tell, this is a new problem which currently exists at several release levels. As you have discovered, it is related to the compress option so the workaround is to remove this option. I suggest you report this problem to the GSC. It is easily recreatable so you should get a response very quickly. Along with the DDL, I suggest you provide the GSC with the detailed backtrace information which I have provided below.
