Subj:   Determining whether dictionary or data archived

From:   Dan Narva

Is there a way when looking at view DBC.EVENTS / table DBC.RCEVENTS, to distinguish type of archive such as dictionary tables vs. data tables?

I have an alerting process that tells us if we missed any data archives over the course of the week, but the fact that we also do dictionary archives makes it more difficult to determine. If nothing else I can exclude rows where the tape dataset name matches those of known dictionary archives, but I would have expected to see an indicator column somewhere in the DBC table which would ensure my searching logic would always be sound.

Thanks.
