Check the version of database that you are using.

This problem was evident earlier (within the ast couple of years). Unfortunately, I do not remember the exact versions. Teradata treated te view as a derived table and did not use external specifying criteria until after the derived table was created as a spool file. Teradata fixed this problem. While I have not tested this fix lately, I have not seen the problem again.

Another problem may be in data type conversions between the tables and the where clause conditions.
