This rings some bells, even with R4. Try Carrie's suggestions in
www.teradataforum.com/teradata/20031009_230918.htm and see
whether you can apply them to the Ab Initio component.
As to the max number of locks, I am thinking of 2048 as the system-wide max number of active transactions. I cannot advise on the AMP-
level limit. If I find more information, I'll report back.
