Craig,

Keep the following in mind when designing your structures.

1) Remember that the PI chosen for parent child tables needs to allow for local amp joins.

2) Never create an SI or NUSI index unless you are certain that it will be used? (Use EXPLAIN to determine)

3) For stats, collect for columns in the where clause and columns that are used to join with. Also, collect stats on all indexes.


This should be a good first place to begin.
