USING SAMPLE does in fact change the method of collection (using either syntax).
Personally, I find it a "real advantage" to be able to copy & paste the CREATE INDEX statement and do only minor editing instead of
using entirely different syntax for COLLECT STATS. But apart from that, the only benefit is that you can collect statistics for multiple
indexes in the same statement / unit of work.
