IMHO it's correct, when the optimizer assumes all those rows as beeing similar for a WHERE condition:

"WHERE ColA = x AND Colb = y AND ColC = z" will always return UNKNOWN/FALSE if any of those columns is NULL.

And it's the same for JOINs:

ON Null_Check.ColA = tab2.x AND Null_Check.Colb = tab2.y AND Null_Check.ColC = tab2.z
