As a follow up to this thread...

Unless you really do:

want to use ODBC SQL extensions
or want to create Stored Procedures
or want to use these special 'backward compatability' features

I suggest you uncheck the option 'Allow use of ODBC SQL extensions in queries' found at the bottom of the Query tab on the Options screen. This will prevent the ODBC driver from parsing, and possibly changing, your queries. It is also slightly faster.
