Subj:   Re: Oracle Functions to Teradata Conversion

From:   Patrick Mohan

Vinod,

We've been going through the same thing here, I haven't found any resources specific to that issue, we've been relying mostly on the TD documentation and internal TD experts. I've been able to find alternatives to most of the common Oracle functions in the archives of this listserv. Doing a site-specific google search seems to be much faster than the search engine on the teradataforum.com website.

I know I've seen a discussion on GREATEST, and here's a date/time article www.teradataforum.com/l030515a.htm that covers the LAST_DAY function. We've also used the built in TD calendar here for that particular function.

Hope that helps, let me know if there are any other functions you need workarounds for.

Thanks,

Pat
