The only reason is we are assuming that disk backup/restore will be faster than tape backup/restore.

The only problem now at hand it seems is testing it out from Netbackup end that whether a backup to disk from a Windows box and then restoration from that very backup file(s) on that disk to a Unix system is possible.

We are on Netbackup 3.4 GA.

Has anybody tried/done this before.

Any inputs will be appreciated.
