Subj:   Priority Scheduler Milestone Question

From:   Claybourne Barrineau

We would like (via Session Level Milestones in PSF) to demote a user to a different Allocation Group after N seconds. Does N represents CPU seconds per AMP, or does N represent total CPU seconds for the session?

Our concern is that a highly skewed query could potentially "hog" cpu seconds for a given AMP(s) and not get demoted until the session reaches it's milestone limit; whereas, we'd like to see a session get demoted on a particular AMP after it has reached the (N/#of AMPs) CPU seconds milestone limit.

Any input would be greatly appreciated,

Clay
