I was thinking along the same lines as Andy.
When you say Table_A and Table_B were both created from an ARCMain copy - were they created at approximately the same time, with no other
maintenance? They were populated via ARCMAIN or just their definitions via a dictionary copy? Were Table_A and Table_B both created at the
same time (under the same release of Teradata. Were they both populated the same way?
If you run a defrag and packdisk on them, are they the same size afterwards?
