Subj:   Password Expiration and NULL PASSWORD

From:   Tony Howe

When activating the password expiration feature, how can I keep certain logon Id's from ever expiring. And I assume I must do this before I turn the feature on. The only way I see doing this is via the :

" GRANT LOGON ON ALL TO username WITH NULL PASSWORD"

This is what we do for access from the mainframe via a TDP security exit procedure, but what if they are using ODBC connection tools via network-attached does this

GRANT WITH NULL PASSWORD

still work or do I need some other type security exit??

Thanks,
