Hey Clay,

My understanding (based on Partner's and a few subsequent discussions) is that with the addition of "sector" reads for full tbale scans, large blocksize is no longer much of a performance benefit. In fact they can degrade performance on non-full table scans. Therefore., it was felt that a smaller block size would see some improvement.
