Subj:   Re: V2R5 Demo for Linux
From:   Sam bass

There are no plans to produce the V2R5 demo CD for Linux.

We continue to evaluate Linux as an OS alternative but there are no plans for delivering Teradata on Linux at this time.

Thanks for responding! I have a couple quick questions...

Can you please elaborate on what your (NCR's) criteria for for the Linux evaluation are?

Don't give away any secrets, but are you concerned about availability? Performance? Support?

Is the evaluation looking at just one distribution of Linux (eg. Debian), or a roll-your-own approach?

Thank you very much!

PS. I'd like to echo loadc's request for future info about Teradata and Linux
