PMON simply reports whatever is returned to it by PM/PC ... so I'm afraid I cant answer that definately. My guess is that it is either the status of the buddy Amp or the status of a randomly picked Amp. (Probably the first, or last, to respond.)

Any PM/PC gurus know the real answer to this?
