Subj:   Queryman vs interagate and ODBC effect on formatting

From:   Anomy Anom

I have seen previous postings on the topic of differences in results format between queryman and interagate. One of the responses was that ODBC ignores FORMAT clauses.

OK, but now I am using both queryman and Interagate with ODBC, and yet I get different results. Why?

eg
select col_dec_9_0 from table_a;
(col_dec_9_0 is of datatype dec(9,0))

queryman output is

20,443,677
20,907,080

interagate with ODBC output is

col_dec_9_0
===========
20443677. 20907080.

Related question : For the example above (decimal data type), in what format is the result set from the PE to the client? is it in a character format or is it in some binary encoded form?
