Subj:   Fastexport and CSUM spool problem

From:   MacMillan, Stuart

A we're on the subject of sequence numbers does anyone know the answer for this one?

I'm using an OLAP function within a Fastexport script to write a sequence number.

i.e. .

select
CSUM (1 , Customer_id) as Row_Sequence
, Customer_id
, etc ...

from mytable
;

This runs fine in Queryman but immediately runs out of spool in Fastexport.

o mytable has 150000 rows
o mytable is indexed on Customer_id
o Customer_id is defined as not null
o Ave rows/Customer - 1.2

Looking at DBC.Diskpace my peakspool has blown on the last VPROC so it looks like something is causing skewing.

As a work-around I've inserted sequence number into a work table but I'd like to know why I'm running out of spool.
