Mei Ye,

A 19,6 data type from Oracle potentially should be able to hold a larger number than (18,6) from Teradata.

Potentially as large as

9,999,999,999,999.999999

If you need at least 6 digits to the right of the decimal point.

You should probably query your data to see if it has data in those column types that are bigger than 999,999,999,999.999999

If you don't need to this level of precision, then you can try to use float to store your number but loose precision.
