Yes we have 280 AMPS and if no sessions are specified Teradata defaults to 1 session per AMP.

Did NCR use a formula to decide upon the 16 sessions or was this a utility specific. We have not been advised of this and normally work on the basis of the more sessions the faster the data will get onto Teradata - esp. FLOAD.
