What is your company doing about the UCC EAN standard changes that would cause UPC to be increased from decimal 13 to decimal 14?
A proactive suggestion here was to increase the UPC to 20, to avoid the possibility of converting again within the next 5 years. I think
the max for decimal is still 18(no I haven't looked it up yet, but will shortly), so this suggestion would cause me to store UPC as
character, causing my hair to go gray and my disk storage to sky rocket. I would enjoy all suggestions and comments.
