From:   Paddock, Eric

Teradata Discrepancy Reports (DRs) are Teradata internal working documents. They allow our Associates to have open, unrestricted dialogue on the resolution of a problem. They are not directly accessable by our Customers. But as Harold kind of contridicted himself in saying that "Teradata doesn't even let us look at closed DRs" then that "the Teradata service rep has to get it and send the text to me" we will generally make the information available to you if you need it.

If you require specific information or updates on an issue, your Support Representative can get it for you.

Customer Services has a long term objective of making more of this data directly available to our end users. Part of the reason that it is long term are the confidentiality and security issues, these being huge issues in todays world. We are currently implementing tools that will move us in that direction. Our goal is to resolve issues as rapidly as possible. Having good data readily accessable facilitates this.

Stay tuned...

Eric Paddock
