Mark,

I posted a similar issue few months back. There was one work around proposed, but I have not tested it out.

I am in discussion with BO, if they can provide a mechanism to avoid writing such 'obvious' clauses in the SQL.

I am also trying to see if Teradata can improve its optimizer, so it can rephrase the query and eliminate such predicates, before building a plan.

I will post any progress here.
