So that no one is confused:

1) The row length I referenced is returned as a parameter of the structure, as Sankar mentioned.

2) The newline character I referenced was on the row coming into the INMOD.

Finally, the use of an INMOD to handle VARTEXT input provides a substantial performance boost to the latest versions on Multiload. Multiload can handle VARCHAR fields much more easily than VARTEXT fields and you can write the INMOD with very efficient code.
