Hi,

Reading the V2R5 manuals about the BEGIN QUERY LOGGING and END QUERY LOGGING.

I thought of one enhancement, which personally I would find most useful, and that is to BEGIN QUERY LOGGING for that session at a specific level of detail. This would allow you to perform step analysis on a query without actually having to have the query logging switched on at that level.

If you had the ability to switch on this type of debug functionality for a session, then other possibilties arise. Such as outputting the White Tree to Query Log tables.

One of the reasons I like this option, is the query logging functionality could go to as much detail as required for this session, allowing the user to continue other work on the same account without being logged. Teradata could also end the query logging on termination of the session.
