Probably a simple question... Where does the system get the table definition to display when a SHOW TABLE request is submitted?
I know it's not DBC.TABLES.REQUESTTEXT. We have a maintenance process that queries DBC.TABLES to assemble the primary index text for
tables, using a substring starting with the position of the string 'PRIMARY' and ending at the closing parenthesis. Since an Alter Table
request overwrites the table DDL in REQUESTTEXT with the Alter Table statement, the altered tables do not contain 'PRIMARY'. I want to
query the equivalent of Show Table output text to get this info.
Thanks!
