Subj:   Admin Comment - E-Mail Filters

From:   John Hall

As List Administrator, I receive the errors generated by the posts to the TeradataForum. Although it strikes me as being particularly brainless and pathetic, I see quite a few posts returned as containing questionable language because the post had a word/phrase containing 3x's (frequently somebody will have a table or column named 'triple-x').

These notes don't get through to some of our members and occasionally I get a complaint about missing mail. Sigh.

If you happen to make a post and you're going to use a 'triple-x', could you turn it into something else?

I realize that this is pretty stupid, but so are e-mail filters and the companies that use them.

Thanks,

John

BTW: Please remember to trim your replies. It's a real problem for those who receive the TeradataForum in Digest form. Thanks.
