Subj:   Re: Veritas NetBackup Question

From:   Jose Lora

It depends on how you do your backups and how often you receive new backup requirements (new databases, tables, etc). If you don't have changes, you can reuse the two files. Yes, you can create them by hand, just use a good template. The only think to take care of if the several instances of the time stamp data into the bch file and IOPARM and IOMODULE parameters. You will need to auto generate them each time (fairly easy).

In this way, you will be able to run the Arcmain Utility directly from the command line, and you will also be able to see the result in the Veritas Netbackup Console, because is the shareable object linked from Arcmain (IOMODULE) who is establishing the link with Veritas.
