Subj:   Root logon from NON CONSOLE Terminals

From:   Anomy Anom

We recently had an internal audit of our Security on our NCR/UNIX boxes. One thing they caught immediately was the fact that we allowed ROOT to logon to any NON CONSOLE terminal.

Has anyone else UNCOMMENTED the line in /etc/default/login (below this line) to prevent people logging in directly as root??

CONSOLE=/dev/console
