Subj:   Bteq .logon problems

From:   Michael Crutcher

I'm trying to use TeraMiner version 2.2.1 to generate some column frequency information. TeraMiner tries to populate a table in a selected database by producing and executing a bteq script. Unfortunately I've never been able to properly logon to bteq from windows, either with bteqwin or bteq in a dos window. If I telnet over to our unix box I can execute and run bteq just fine (with the exact same .logon command), but I'd like to be able to use the teraminer interface instead of manually executing the generated bteq files.

Additional Info: We're running V2R3, bteqwin 5.0, bteq 6.0 for win32 (dos), and windows 2000. I've got the proper ip address associated with the domain in my hosts file. This is the error message I get (not that it's informative):

*** Return code from CLI is: 224
*** Error: Logon failed!

This is very frustrating, and I'd greatly appreciate any help given.

Thanks,

Michael Crutcher
