Subj:   Java Programing with the JDBC drivers for Teradata

From:   McBride, Michael

I seeking helps, tips, hints, and advice beyond what is given in the Teradata documenation "Teradata Driver for thre JDBC Interface Users Guide" from NCR

I am not an experienced Java Programmer, but have a couple of real good resources and books for Java Application Programming, and I'm trying to learn (rapidly).

My main dilemma stems from the fact that I have this J++ Compiler from Micosoft (as part for The Visual Studio Enterprise edition) and I can't seem to figure out how to bind the data to a data grid control in a "form".

MS documentation always talks about a RecordSet method (Access, MS Sql) in combination with the DataSource control for binding data, but the JDBC for Teradata driver uses a ResultSet Method and I cannot seem to be able to bind the data to the datagrid in my form with this method.

Has anyone out there in Teradata Land been succesful in using J++ to bind and display data using Windows "forms" or am I stuck building HTML applets and displaying data in applet containers??
