Subj:   Impromptu6.0 compatibility problem with terdata

From:   B.N Singh

Hi,

I have a problem in adding the date data type columns from tables in the folder inside the catalog. Let me explain you the sceinarios which I have here. We have a catalog pointing to DB2 database and have no problem. Everything working fine with DB2. Now, we have migrated the database from DB2 to Teradata. We have installed the Teradata ODBC 3.00.01.00 driver supplied by Teradata and created data source for that. Now we have changed the database to the new data source in the catalog. I am able to see all the columns of each table of teradata database under catalog/tables in impromptu but when create a folder using the tables, the date data type fields are not appearing under folder but other data types fields (like number, char etc) appear.

Can you please let me know the reason? I am not able to figure out what I need to do to make them appear.

I heard that the Teradata ODBC driver version 3.00.01 is not stable. Where can get the free download for Teradata ODBC driver 2.8.02.03

Thanks

BN
