In GUI Queryman you have to enable ODBC extensions (otherwise u get the 3706 error)

"Tools" > "Options" > "Allow use of ODBC extensions"

FYI: The ODBC/GUI supports "REPLACE" syntax - but in CLI Bteq you have to drop and replace :-( using the ".compile file foo" syntax....
