We have close to real time (1 hr loads) at our shop. We use MQ and Mload and it works great. Both utilities are very robust. We have infact moved away from Tpump since tpump a lot of times slows down and is never able to recover the speed. In such situations we were forced to cancel the jobs and restart them and then it would run in its normal speed. There is no real need to use tpump since all tables can be access for read using lock for access even when the table is being mloaded.
